Pineapple Express

I saw tropic thunder 2 days ago and it blew. There had to be only 3 people in the audience who laughed the entire movie and one of them had to be drunk or high (or both). Then I thought maybe I wasn't laughing as much because I was watching the movie alone (duh). So tonight me, my ex-girlfriend, and a couple of friends are going to see 'Pineapple'. It looks hilarious and I figure the jokes will be a lot funnier since we're all gonna get wasted first. Hooray for keystone light. lol.

Watchmen

By the director of 300, Zach Snyder. Based on the graphic novel by the same name. The movie comes out march 09, more than enough time for you (and me) to read the comic before it hits theaters.

WHY SO SERIOUS....

Just came back from a sold out showing of the Dark Knight a few minutes ago and my mind is racing. You know the feeling when you saw saw I, the movie that was everything they said it would be. Shocking, daring, bloody, and well executed. The feeling that you had just watched a movie that met your grand expectaions. Well the Dark Knight wasn't that moive. If you saw the movie you know what I'm talking about. The movie is brilliant in all its parts. It doesn't dissapoint, it doesn't deliver, it overachieves. It does what Bryan Singer tried to do with Superman but didn't work, and it's what the wachowski brothers wanted to do with the Matrix 2 and 3 but didn't have the patience.

Both movies were not able to find a perfect balance that all great action movies have between story and action. Chris Nolan is able to offer us an incredibly deep story and enough action to wet anyones hollywood blockbuster appetite. The Dark Knight is like many reviewers have written. Its a movie that stays with you long after you've finished watching it. And frankly if you don't have a stomach to see a really 'dark' movie then you don't want to see this one, because this is one sick puppy that will never lose its place as being a true black classic.

Oh and about the saw thing, I did that on purpose, don't take it personal.

Seth Rogen NY times interview

Terminator salvation

Interesting time for the release of a 4th terminator movie starring Christian Bale, don't you think. lol.

The Dark Knight in theaters today!

I already got tickets. Considering that Rottentomatoes (In my opinion is the only place to go for movie reviews; seeing as they rate 90% of the movies that come out as garbage, and only the best ones get recognition) the Dark Knight is one of the best reviewed movies this year (94%, wow)! Check out the article here.

The Dark Knight returns

Batman returns still is the greatest comic book movie ever, and the Dark knight series of comics are by far the darkest and most interesting books DC has ever released. Its been a long time coming and it's almost here. The Dark knight hits theaters July 18, and I am PSYCHED! Movie reviewer Peter Travers even called Christian Bales performance Godfather Al Pacino like, and about Heath Ledgers performance reminiscent of the madness of Clock work orange. No doubt this movie will be the greatest movie of the summer, not only in the US but around the world.
