NEW COACH JASON GARRET WINS 1st GAME!

This is what great leadership is about!!!

The cowboys were expected to be one of the three best NFL teams at the start of the season, after finishing the 2009-2010 season with an 11-5 record and a deep playoff run. Then came the losing. The cowboys have lost 7 of their last 8 games this season. Romo got injured in game 7 and the team was lauded for simply packing it in during close games. You might remember my Cowboys win, but still no coach post last year; where I spoke on my feelings towards how the cowboys coaching situation. Well coach Wade Philips is no longer the coach of the cowboys, cowboys offensive coordinator Jason Garret's got the job, and nothing could be sweeter in Dallas with todays win.

It takes great leadership to be able to inspire and motivate a talented team to reach for greatness and I think Jason (at least after this game) has proved that he is capable of such a feat. It's only one game, and only one win, but things are looking brighter in the DFW area. The future is looking mighty hopeful indeed. Lets go Cowboys!

I AM SECOND: Baron Batch (& celebrates 2 yrs)

The folks over at I-am-second are celebrating 2 successful years of ministry. The festivities will be held in Carrllton TX on 2nd of December. I'm happy for them and and what tehy've been able to accomplish; bringing like minded people from all works of life together to speak on our shared faith. Baron batch's testimony is one of my favorites from the new batch (ha) of videos from the 'second' camp, and even though I bleed orange (Texas Longhorns fan through and through) I still support BB.

Why burning the Quran on 9/11 is wrong

I agree. This video is of course a response to Terry Jones (of Dove Outreach church in Florida) from a couple of months ago. I personally think that this is just a bunch of propaganda to change the image of Christianity to something more extremist. These so called 'Bible believing' extremists should get no public attention whatsoever.

Burning the Quran sounds a lot to me like something an muslim extremist would do to the Holy Bible but that violent act does not belong in the Christian modus operandi.

So when men are called by grace

...so when men are called by grace, and converted, they come out of a country, this world, which is a land of sin and iniquity, of great folly and ignorance, of darkness, and of the shadow of death; a desert, a mere wilderness; a country where Satan reigns, full of wicked and ungodly men; and which is the land of their nativity, as to their first birth: and they may be said to come out of it, not in a natural and civil sense, but in a spiritual one; and it is the character of a converted man, or one that is come out of the world, and is separated from it, to be unmindful of it; not so as not to consider from whence he came out, as owing to rich grace; nor so as not to lament the iniquities of it; nor so as not to pray for the conversion of the inhabitants of it; but he is unmindful of it, so as to be desirous of the company of the men of it, or to have the affections set upon it, and the heart tickled with the pleasures of it, or so as to desire to return to it, for which there is a great deal of reason: for this country is not worth minding; and there is much in it to set a gracious mind against it; a good man has better things to mind; and it is below, and unworthy of a Christian, to mind the world; and besides, worldly mindedness is attended with bad consequences. Moreover, though the saints have opportunities of returning, yet they do not; they are near it, and the country they are seeking is afar off: many things in it are alluring and ensnaring; a corrupt and deceitful heart often lingers after them, and Satan is not wanting to tempt unto, and by them. And yet they do not return; some that bear the name of Christians, but are not truly such, may wholly return, and never come back more; and true believers may strangely go back again in some instances; but they shall not return finally and totally: for they are held and drawn with the cords of love; they are in the hands of Christ, and are secured in the covenant of grace; they are returned to Christ, in the effectual calling, who will keep them; they are of the household of God, and shall be no more foreigners; should they return in such sense, they would be condemned with the world, which cannot be.~John Gill on Hebrews 11:15

Borrowed word for word from fieldstonecottage.blogspot.com

Excellent post, I must say.

An answer to anger and doubt.

Boy, sometimes I wish G-d weren't so invisible. That he were available to me in flesh and bone at any time of day. I have questions I need answered but no available response seems to satisfy. I’ve experienced enough of G-d in my personal life to justify my faith, so why do I feel so disconnected? I can’t go back to the way I used to live, but at the same time I wish I could experience God in such a way that my questions would just melt away. At my darkest hour it was interesting to me to think that God will exist and continue to exist whether or not I chose to follow him. God is not confined to my emotional state. He doesn't leave when I'm fighting my demons and show up after I'm done figuring things out. He is always present.

The following verse gave me a better perspective on my trial. My faith in Christ is cemented in the hope that there is much more meaning in this life than meets the eye.

Now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture! But when full understanding comes, these partial things will become useless.
When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. Now we see things imperfectly as in a cloudy mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.

John's Story

New Jerusalem

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

INCEPTION (2 of 2)

Manipulation of the mind is near impossible if the observer is aware that the manipulation is taking place.

"Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse: their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one" (quote, Warner Bros. summary of Inception). Ironically while you are watching this great 'impossible' crime taking place on screen you yourself, the viewer, are getting an idea implanted into your subconscious - Suicide is good.

Do not watch this movie without being aware that it is an attempt to do just what it claims to be exploring. Inception is a very wicked and cruel movie, especially for a young impressionable teenage generation, an R rating would have been more appropriate.

I am Second - Christine Petric

When Jesus commanded us to love one another I don't think he meant for us to be selective in the ones we loved. I don't think he meant for us to be judgemental either, but it seems the modern day Christian is a mix of both, at least that's what I get when I listen to people like Bill O'reily - I say Bill O'reily because he claims to be a Christian or more precisely, a Roman Catholic. We are called to be more like Christ, not to like ourselves more. Judging others based on race or social status is wrong, and it is most certainly not a Christian virtue, but more of a conceited me-first wordly mindset completely devoid of the Spirit.

"As a man thinketh in his heart so is he," not only embraces the whole of a man's being, but is so comprehensive as to reach out to every condition and circumstance of his life. A man is literally what he thinks, his character being the complete sum of all his thoughts - James Allen

Yes, there is a Bible verse that says "as a man thinketh" but what then does a man do when all he is fostered to think from birth is cyclical hopelessness and blaring prejudice?

I refuse to believe that a poor African American male is nothing more than a host of negative stereotypes. I love Christines I.A.S segment because her boyfriends' parents reaction could have come from any typical 'Christian' family. Why is that? I would argue that the Holy Spirit could not reside in a person who vehemently defends his right to judge the poor and the stranger. Would I be wrong? There's a reason generations upon generations of black youth live like they do, and no, it's not inborn.

"He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace." Proverbs 11:12

Put yourselves in their shoes, or perhaps just objectively question why things are as they are.

"You should have work by now - you made wrong choices - you're worthless" - This is the condemning mindset of one who rests his conscience on the twisting of the Proverbs 23:7 verse. Surely none of Americas current unemployed deserve this type of treatment, or are there exceptions?

We are to love our neighbours (that means everyone), to be as light to the world, to shock people with the spirit that lives in us. Because he first loved us.

INCEPTION (1 of 2)

I must see this movie.

I fully expect to see and hear a few things I don't agree with but the trailers are so freaking cool. I mean listen to the score, wow, it almost beats Gatorades 2009 G! anthem:

I mean try being at a football game with one of your favorite teams down 4 points, just minutes left on the clock, 4th quarter, and Brett favre's playing offense in the red zone against the New York Giants, tell me WHO wouldn't get pumped when this song starts playing? I know! Nobody. This song moves stadiums, and the inception score is almost as sweet.

Speaking of Chris Nolan (see what I did there?) check out this parody of the inception score using another Chris nolan work - his present masterpiece "The Dark Knight".

Mind blown? Oh yeah and that's me @ 0:35.

I'll probably post a review or something after I see the movie, or say a few words on it. I absolutely can't believe it's a PG-13 movie, so bravo Nolan. If YOU do see this movie be cautious of subliminal messaging, much like the Dark knight did by infering that spying on masses of people could be a good (no, great) thing if it resulted in the catching of a known terrorist. Come on hollywood, try harder.

This guy is supercool and deserves some luv. I used to be really heavy into collecting basketball sneakers (among other things) so when I saw AndretheCoolkiddd (a known sneaker video blogger) had a new video up I was really excited to check it out. This is the video he posted on his youtube page after 4 months of inactivity. Pardon the music, I used to listen to way worse.

My one prayer is that he finds Christ like I did during a really difficult time in my life, but I can't even imagine what he's going through. I sent him a message that I hope gives him some cheer and a boost, and I know you guys can too. If you're reading this please go to this guys page (here) and shower LOTS and LOTS of love on him, also please keep him in your prayers.

The Leading of the Holy Spirit in Fighting Sin- Benjamin B. Warfield

Please look below for a link to the full and complete original article of this B.B Warfield work available online.

There is certainly abundant reason why we should seek to learn what the Scriptures mean by "spiritual leading." There are few subjects so intimately related to the Christian life, of which Christians appear to have formed, in general, conceptions so inadequate, where they are not even positively erroneous. The sober-minded seem often to look upon it as a mystery into which it would be well not to inquire too closely. And we can scarcely expect those who are not gifted with sobriety to guide us in such a matter into the pure truth of God.
…..
It is surely enough, however, to recall us to a careful searching of Scripture in order to learn what it is to be led by the Spirit of God, simply to read the solemn words of our text: "As many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God." If the case be so, surely it behooves all who would fain believe themselves to be God's children to know what the leading of the Spirit is.
….
It is not the reward of special spiritual attainment; it is the condition of all spiritual attainment. In its absence, we should remain hopelessly the children of the devil; by its presence alone are we constituted the children of God. It is only because of the Spirit of God shed abroad in our hearts that we are able to cry, "Abba, Father" (Rom. 8:15).
…..
The regenerated soul will never abide the remnants of sin that vex his members, but will have no rest until he eradicates them to the last shred. But these victories of our nobler selves—natural or gracious—over what is unworthy within us, do not so much constitute the essence of spiritual leading as they are to be counted among its fruits. Spiritual leading itself is not a leading of ourselves by ourselves, but a leading of us by the Holy Ghost.

Evidence for/against God Debate: William Lane Craig vs Dr. Peter Atkins

The Faith and Science Lecture Forum in April 1998 hosted a debate between Christian philosopher William Lane Craig and Oxford University’s Peter Atkins, a professor of chemistry and an outspoken atheist. The moderator was William F. Buckley.

The debate, “What Is the Evidence for/against the Existence of God,” drew an overflow crowd at The Carter Center in Atlanta and was broadcast live to 10,000 people in universities and colleges in the US

- sited from RZIM

You can find this video available on DVD at William Craig's website Reasonablefaith.org and RZIM.ORG (the Ravi Zacharias International ministries website), as well as many other Chrisitian apologetics media. You will also find a link to the RZIM website in my links section.

I was lucky enough to find the entire video freely available online but will not hesitate to support and acquire more media for myself in the near future.

I thought the debate was great. I laughed at several parts because Mr. Atkins had no leg to stand on much of the time, and when it came to the story of Jesus he (like most athiests) prefered to duck and weave. Ironically the more I have explored the athiestic position the more I'm convinced that it takes real faith (or at least hatred) to be an athiest.

Athiest's don't like the idea of God much of the time because they dislike the Bibles interpretation of beginnings, but will never admit to the fact that science has not and CAN NOT explain many important aspects of life including the spirit world and the after life (among many other things). There is so much evidence apparent in science, history, and todays world events that blind faith simply can't be an excuse for an athiest not to become a believer. Just seek God and he will do the rest, I am proof of that.

Cassie - Flyleaf

The question asked in order to save her life or take it
The answer no avoided death and yes would make it

Do you believe in God?'
Written on a bullet
Say yes to pull the trigger
And my Sister Cassie pulled it

They didn't love their lives so much
As to shrink from death
Inspired in their footsteps
We will march ahead
Don't be shocked that people die
Be surprised you're still alive

All heads are bowed in silent reverence
The floor is wet with tears of sorrowful remembrance
The alter is filled with hearts of repentance
Perfect love kills all fear, rejoice in this deliverance

They didn't love their live so much
As to shrink from death
Inspired in their footsteps
We will march ahead
Don't be shocked that people die
Be surprised you're still alive

Worship: Does God need it?

Athiests would argue that God is a egotistical and conceited father who craves worship. The Bible tells us that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is self sufficient, there is nothing we can give him that he hasn't already given us. Giving God our worship makes the best sense as a way for us to keep our focus on God and his grace.

The point is to keep GOD humbly, truthfully, fearfully FIRST. Sing when no one else knows you are (but him).

Wise unto salvation

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was. But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.

Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

There's a new link to the right guys. GV247.tv (Global vision Channel) is a phenomenal source of information and edification for the body of Christ, and I think you will agree with me when you spend some time there. As with anything I promote on this site all things must fall in line with the Bible, i will not intentionally post/link (to) something that I feel is not biblically sound.

The aim of GV247.tv is to give a medium for which learned Christian apologists can defend the faith to a world which sees Christianity through the eyes of a hateful media.

Dead to Sin

Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

I had to post this video since I'm a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the guys over at uprise.co.uk. I love the professionalism of the video and I know that if this gets out there (the video, the message, and the album being promoted) God will do great work on the hearts of young people every where.

The following is a direct link to an article from 2009 stating that Christianity is now the world's most persecuted religion. It also has a list of countries in which Christians are most persecuted in.

DEBATE: Did Jesus rise from the dead?

Mr. Nabeel Qureshi in his rebuttal says he will not answer Osama’s mutilation of the text, but here I will do my best to answer most of the pertinent accusations made during Osama’s opening statement against the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Osama Abdallah in his opening statement has taken the wording of ‘wounded’ and placed the fulfilment of this prophecy at a different time in Jesus’ suffering. Isaiah 53:5-6 tells us that the messiah would be wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquity, and was Jesus not? When Pontios Pilate ordered for Jesus to be beaten to appease the crowd that was in fact the fulfilment of prophecy (John 19:1-4). The following Old Testament verse Isaiah 53:7 says that the messiah would not open his mouth and Mr. Abdallah claims Jesus broke that prophecy by calling out to God (the father) on the cross. Mr. Abdallah is again taking the fulfilment of prophecy out of context. We have established that the messiah would be wounded and he was, then he would be silent like a lamb before the slaughter and he was silent (Mark 15:2-5, Luke 23:8-10, John 19:7-11). Mr. Adallah claims Jesus was not buried with the Rich, but Joseph of Arimathea (the man who buried Jesus) was a counsellor who in those days was well to do (Luke 23:50). During the times of the Romans criminals who were crucified were left to decay on the cross, if not for joseph asking to have Jesus buried he would have died like every other poor ‘criminial’. I will say though that Mr. Abdallah is right when he says one of these books has to be a lie, I wonder which book fits that mold, the Bible or the Quran.

Osama in his rebuttal references a Roman Catholic book to make a claim that the Bible might have been tampered with (or in his words altered). Let it be known that Roman Catholicism is a heretic religion and is not based on true Christianity, so that being said I ‘think’ Mr. Abdallah’s argument carries no weight. Most of the things said during Osama’s last rebuttal (especially concerning Jesus being influenced by Satan) is simply nuts, so I’ll leave no comment on that. The subject of the debate is whether or not Jesus resurrected but Mr. Abdallah instead goes completely off topic in a panic and refused to challenge the truth of the crucifixion. Even during his conclusion Mr. Abdallah refused to discuss the topic and sounded like he was just grasping for straws all over the place. Interesting video none the less.

The eight beatitudes of Jesus Christ

"Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they who mourn,
for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek,
for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they shall be satisfied.

Blessed are the merciful,
for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure of heart,
for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called children of God.

Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

Fully alive acoustic- by flyfleaf

Telling Layla's story spoken
'Bout how all her bones are broken
Hammers fall on all the pieces
Two months in the cover creases

Fully alive
More than most
Ready to smile and love life
Fully alive and she knows
How to believe in futures

All my complaints shrink to nothing
I'm ashamed of all my somethings
She's glad for one day of comfort
Only because she has suffered

Fully alive
More than most
Ready to smile and love life
Fully alive and she knows
How to believe in futures

Here she stands today
In her brilliant shining way
Stronger than her faith
In her brilliant shining way

Fully alive
More than most
Ready to smile and love life
Fully alive and she knows
How to believe in futures

Fully alive
More than most
Ready to smile and love life
Fully alive and she knows
How to believe in Jesus

Witnessing to a Jehovahs witness

This is an older video that I stumbled on when going through my youtube favorites, I just had to put up on my blog. Blair Wingo (great saved poet) from P4CM is the one giving you the truth! lol. I run by a lot of Jehovah's witnesses where I work but as of yet have never had a serious discussion with them about their beliefs. But I will one of these days, after I gather a little more information that can be used for the sake of argument and clarity. For example I would love to be able to point out past prophecies that came out of the jehovahs witness camp that have never come to pass, then take them to the deuteronomy verse Blair spoke on.

Everything would have to be done in love and not losing sight of the truth in G-d. Anyway it's a great video and worth the post.

Por la via dolorosa

Down the Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem that day
The soldiers tried to clear the narrow street
But the crowd pressed in to see
The Man condemned to die on Calvary

He was bleeding from a beating, there were stripes upon His back
And He wore a crown of thorns upon His head
And He bore with every step
The scorn of those who cried out for His death

Down the Via Dolorosa called the way of suffering
Like a lamb came the Messiah, Christ the King,
But He chose to walk that road out of
His love for you and me.
Down the Via Dolorosa, all the way to Calvary.

The blood that would cleanse the souls of all men
Made its way to the heart of Jerusalem.

Down the Via Dolorosa called the way of suffering
Like a lamb came the Messiah, Christ the King
But He chose to walk that road out of His love for you and me
Down the Via Dolorosa, all the way to Calvary.

Phos Hilaron: earliest known Christian hymn

Hail, gladdening Light, of His pure glory poured
Who is th'immortal Father, heavenly, blest,
Holiest of Holies--Jesus Christ our Lord!

Now we are come to the sun's hour of rest;
The lights of evening round us shine;
We hymn the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit divine!

Worthiest art thou at all times to be sung
With undefiled tongue,
Son of our God, giver of life, alone:
Therefore in all the world thy glories, Lord, they own. Amen.

Note on Annerice.com

On wednesday I posted a fantastic Iamsecond.com video featuring writer Anne Rice on my blog. I made the mistake of not first thoroughly reviewing her web page (annerice.com) before adding a link to my post. After reviewing her webpage I felt it necessary to make a comment about her catholic faith. One because I was taken by surprise by the revelation of her being a catholic and two I had never commented on Catholicism on my blog in the past. So here goes:

I believe that Roman Catholicism is wrong in its doctrine. Neither the saints or mary (both of which are dead) can (or should) be held in the same light and reverence as God almighty. Now a catholic would say they aren't held in the same light and reverence as him, and i say this. There is not one verse in the Bible that even encourages believers to pray to Mary or any one of the saints. God is the only one who can answer prayers because he is omnipresent, no human could ever possess this attribute. In order for a catholic to believe that she or any saint possessed this attribute they would have to believe that mary or the saints were omnipresent. So why do the Catholics persist? Let's not even get started with the pope and how much of a false prophet he is!

The only one worthy of divine praise from the beginning of time has and is and will be God alone- The father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

JESUS and the Athiest

The following is the intro from a blogsite I stumbled across that I am sure will bless you as it did me. This is the God we serve:

In the wee hours of the morning on June 16, 2006 ... I had planned on committing suicide ... for a myriad of different reasons.

I was going to shoot myself in the head at the very location I'd repeatedly been molested as a child ... a cliff overlooking the Kankakee river located in the Kankakee River State Park (Illinois), a rather ironic place of beauty for such a horrendous crime to have continually taken place.

Always working :)

Hello Bloggerland. Praises be to God, Jesus Christ. The King of Kings and lord of Lords. The last few months (and days) in my life have been very wonderful. Everything inside me is speedily and surely surrendering to God and it feels surreal. I'm doing more reading of the bible than I ever have, and find myself looking forward to reading more. To be able to add real depth to my relationship with my Lord is exciting. The way I interact with people and respond even to temptation is also always improving. Everytime I start to waiver he is quick to keep me focused.

I gave my heart to him just over a year ago and even though I know I was a completely different creature then I feel even more so today. I'm learning what it really means to love him and to truly love people. I know now more than ever that I have a relationship with him that is as real as my beating heart that I can not see.

God is doing an amazing thing in my life that is so tangible (to me) that I just felt I had to make this post to thank him for it.

Thank you.

'I am Second' joins link section

I am Second is the newest addition to my links section. I've posted several IAS vids on my blog in the past and I am happy to finally and officially add the site to my links section. I first learned of the IAS ministry through their billboards which at the time could be found throughout the Dallas area. Just today I came across another billboard that reminded me of the IAS billboards. The new billboard was both controversial and eye catching. With Bright red to back its bold white lettering the billboard read 'repentchristians.org', and nothing else. Of course this sparked my interest and I couldn't find a computer fast enough.

I was happy to see that the site's goal was not to mislead but to challenge every Christian that bothered to visit the site like I did. After visiting the site I decided to check up on IAS.com and sure enough several new testimonials had been uploaded to the site. So if you haven't visited IAS recently check it out today and every other day for new stuff.

Random Awesomeness: Nike+Youtube

I have always admired the guys over at Nike for their marketing brain trust. Their ads are always either very inspiring, very creative, or both. So you can imagine how glad I was when I stumbled on Nike's official Youtube channel Nike. I expected a lot more uploads than I found (at this time there are only 26 videos uploaded to the channel) but most of the videos are in HD so I can't complain... too much.

Favre ends the Cowboy season

Brett Favre and the Vikes just handed out one of the worst beatdowns ever recorded in NFL playoff history. Their 34-3 win over the Cowboys was unexpected by just about everyone. I could think of a 100 possible reasons why we lost so badly but for time I'll give just four. #1. Marion Barber should never have played as much as he did (Felix Jones IS our premier RB, Barber is too slow) #2. Flozell adams was knocked out of the game (what other Cowboy could contain Jared Allen???). #3. Columbo should never have suited up for the game coming off an injury. #4. Offensive coordinator Jason Garrett should have anticipated the demise of his O-line and game planned accordingly.

The good news is that the 2010-2011 season is looking better than ever. Coach Wade Phillips will be staying which scares me a bit. I'd rather see him stay as a defensive coordinator rather than as head coach, but you wouldn't see me complaining if he leads the Cowboys to the Superbowl next year. No sir. I was glad to see Austin Miles step up this year as well as LT Spencer and CB Mike Jenkins. Plus Romo had his best year yet, and can only get better. So goodbye Cowboys (get ready for next year) and good luck Favre. I hope he wins another ring before he retires for good.

Rep. Scott Brown wins Massachussets

The people of Massachusets have just delivered a major blow to Obama's healthcare agenda. Congratulations to Republican candidate Scott Brown (who promised to vote against Obamas healthcare bill) for winning the Massachusets U.S. senate seat. I know the liberal media will spend the next X amount of weeks/months talking about how the republicans won against the healthcare bill, but really it has less to do with any one party winning over the other.

The people of America (liberal AND conservative) know that if this bill gets passed it will change our lives for the worse, and I'm sure many a die hard democrat showed up to vote for Brown. Good job Massachusets the entire country was watching. Tell Obama to keep his socialist healthcare plan to himself and all his conspirators.
